Dr. Fadeke Akinpelu
Physician
Dr. Fadeke Akinpelu is a Canadian-trained family physician based at UrbanPulse Medical Clinic in Winnipeg. With extensive experience spanning rural medicine, emergency departments, and hospitalist services, Dr. Akinpelu brings a versatile and compassionate approach to primary care. Having lived and practiced in Winnipeg over 9 years, she has a keen insight into the healthcare needs of the local community. Dr. Akinpelu is committed to delivering inclusive, patient-centered care, welcoming individuals of all ages, genders, races, and backgrounds with professionalism and respect. Her clinical approach emphasizes wellness promotion and disease prevention, with a special interest in women’s health, chronic disease management and mental health.

Dr. Simon Sarpong
MD
Dr. Simon Sarpong is a Canadian-trained physician at UrbanPulse Medical Clinic in Winnipeg, with over 30 years of living in Canada and 10 years of medical and leadership experience. He has worked extensively in rural and remote settings throughout Northern Manitoba and Alberta, while also practicing in major urban centers such as Winnipeg and Brandon. His broad scope of practice includes emergency medicine, urgent care, hospitalist services, and comprehensive primary care.
Dr. Sarpong currently serves as the Site Medical Lead for the WRHA Extended Hours Primary Care Clinic at the Grace Hospital campus. He is also the Medical Director and Facilitator for the God’s Lake Narrows First Nation community, and has held similar roles in other First Nations communities throughout Manitoba.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sarpong is actively involved in medical education. He is a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Manitoba’s Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) program, where he has supervised and trained numerous medical students and residents, particularly through the Family Medicine Northern Remote stream. He also serves as a Clinical Supervisor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Dr. Andrea Thwala

Dr. Andrea Thwala is a dedicated family physician at UrbanPulse Medical Clinic in Winnipeg, bringing a wealth of Canadian-trained clinical experience across rural health, emergency medicine, and hospitalist care. With several years living and working in Winnipeg, Dr. Thwala combines his deep local insight with a compassionate, patient-focused approach to primary care. Known for his inclusive practice, he warmly welcomes patients of every age, gender identity, ethnicity, and background. Dr. Thwala is committed to delivering respectful, professional, and holistic care tailored to the unique needs of his diverse community.

Mr. Haitham Al‑Sawair

Mr. Haitham Al‑Sawair is the clinical pharmacist at UrbanPulse Medical Clinic in Winnipeg, where he plays an integral role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. Trained in Canada, Mr. Al‑Sawair brings expertise in chronic disease management, medication optimization, and patient education. He works collaboratively with physicians to ensure safe and effective treatment plans, while also providing medication reviews, counseling, and support for patients managing complex conditions. Known for his approachable and inclusive practice, he is committed to serving patients of all backgrounds with professionalism, empathy, and a focus on improving health outcomes.
